In addition to walking and biking, there are even more outdoor activities to do on and around the IJssel. From rafting to
boat tours, from a boat shaped like a giant clog to large pedal boats, climbing a climbing tower, archery, GPS tours, tug-
of-war, a tour around the IJssel Valley on a solex bike or a rally across the Veluwe in a Mini Cooper. You can end your
day with a delicious barbecue.
In the Hanseatic cities, many activities are available. A GPS tour, a treasure hunt with a nod to the past, paddling in a
city canal or simply enjoying a nice boat trip. These are just a few examples of what would be an ideal group or team
building trip. We would love to make more personal suggestions.
Biking or walking along the most beautiful river in the Netherlands?
For bikers, there is a part of the LF3 along the IJssel, with beautiful routes on separate dykes and gorgeous panoramas. You’ll be able to enjoy the panoramas to the fullest on the floodplains and the beautiful river IJssel.
The route goes from Doesburg to Kampen and is approx. 87 miles long.
The IJssel Valley is also a very attractive area for walkers. You’ll walk through picturesque villages and historical Hanseatic cities, from Zutphen to Deventer and back. This is a tour with the IJssel always in view throughout the first day and featuring castles and estates on the second day.
You’ll walk 20 miles in two days.
After a long bike or walking tour, you’ll surely welcome the peace and quiet of a Hanseatic city, with a wide range of restaurants and hotels.

Sailing on the IJssel
You can take a boat trip from many places along the IJssel. Sail along on a pleasant riverboat tour or sail it yourself.
For a team building trip, kayaking, canoeing, or paddling in a boat shaped like a giant clog is a great activity.
What do you think about your group building a raft and sailing across the water with it together? A large pedal boat for 12 people or peddling in a city canal? These are just a few examples. Before groups go onto the water, an instructor will first explain the regulations and safety rules.
Mini Cooper Rally
When you arrive, the authentic Mini Coopers will be ready for you, complete with drum brakes and chokes. After receiving instructions about the car and the route, you’ll drive through the beautiful Veluwe nature reserve, traveling through forests, heaths, and small villages.
Along the way, you’ll be given a few fun assignments. The tour has a competitive character, because you want your team to win, right?
In the back of the Mini is a well-stocked minibar, and of course you can end the day with a nice diner or buffet.
Driving a rally with classic cars like an Alfa Romeo or Land Rover Defender, VW Beetle or 2CV is also great fun. We’ll make sure that everything is arranged throughout the day. In short, it’s a wonderful moment in a beautiful nature reserve.
